Saw this over on FJROwners and think it is an interesting idea. I always thought that the FJR's battery placement was a bad engineering decision. It is also a huge PITA when you have to jump Spousal Unit's bike 2-3 times a day when you are 1500 miles from home.

Re: FJR battery Moved To Under The Seat
Seems to me someone did that with a lithium battery a number of years ago. Does make it a little more accessible and lowers center of gravity a bit. Not a bad idea but not life changing.

Re: FJR battery Moved To Under The Seat
Nice idea, but not me. What do you use the original battery compartment for (since the complaint was time to access)? Lost your seat tray storage. Gotta remove two seats to get to it. Whazza difference in time removing a Gen2 battery cover, it's EZ. Gen3 more finicky.
If yer boosting, run some 10ga to the rear, use a quick connector for your jumper cables. Remove back seat only. Funny I only used it to boost other people. Benefit is you can boost yourself too without going up front.
