Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Rode it to work for the first time in the morning. I have went home at lunch and picked it up before, but with temps in the 50s this morning, I thought I could bear the cold for the 1.1 mile commute. Seat heater and grip were on full blast.
I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

Hard to imagine the seat and grips could actually get warm within 1.1 miles...

Rode mine to work. Again.
To Dad's, I stripped accessories off till I got tired of doing it. And it was not hard work.

Warm up time in the garage! And I got stopped waiting to pull out of the subdivision for a few cars.
But Yes, I could feel the heat as soon as I pulled into the parking lot.
The important thing to recall in this story is that I rode to work in February.

Temps in the 50's required heat? Are you serious? Are you from Florida or just that old?Cav47 wrote:Rode it to work for the first time in the morning. Rode mine to work, again. Day 275 consecutive.

Tongue and Cheek.
Kinda. I feel that if you got the features, use them.
But to answer your question. Yes, I am soft. Not old or from Florida. Just enjoy the finer things in life.
The heated seat is so awesome if you need it.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
It probably took him more time to put on the gear, ride the bike and take off the gear, than it would to walk the 1.1 miles...but kudos to Cav for the effort!
...and he isn't from Florida, if that answers your question.

Mine: Rode it to work. Again.
Dad's: Pulled the rest of the accessories off it. Pulled the USMC license plate. Pulled the Masonic emblem off the back fender. Started packing everything away to wait for a new bike.

Put on the new to me RDL seat.
Tomorrow
State Inspection.
Insurance quote from falling over, then put on the new parts I already bought.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
White stuff fell on my FJR this morning, too.
It was a light coating of concrete dust as we waited for the light to change at Collier Road and Peachtree Street. They're wrecking the old Piedmont Hospital (Sheffield) medical office building.
Oh yeah, I didn't read about your tipover, Powerman. Are you OK?

"What will I do to my FJR tomorrow?"
Meet griff at New Northside and the Perimeter for a few miles Saturday and a trip to Nashville and back on Sunday. Spotwalla track is here (https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id ... dc89ecd6f5) and should start around 1400 Saturday.
(Can someone explain how to put hyperlinks into my posts, please? I see that it's possible, but haven't been able to discover how.)
