PAIR / AIS Block Off Plugs or Plates - All Gens.

Post by raYzerman »

For those wanting to remove their PAIR/AIS system, and not install block-off plates, here is an interesting alternative, cheap and EZ. Just a side note, I find during a valve check, the elbows on the OEM covers make handy dandy handles to get the valve cover in and out....
Remove PAIR covers, tap the tubes with 1/2"-13 and insert 1/2" set screws.....
Remove PAIR solenoid and holder, but note on 2016-up, the ECU will give an error if the solenoid is missing.... find suitable resistor or leave the solenoid in place and plugged in.
See this thread for the modification to the covers.....

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can sure muffle the sound.

Well, that is an interesting fix. But now I have to go take a shower after trudging through that forum. :(

Surprise, they want money!!
I spent most of my money on guns, motorcycles, women, and whiskey. The rest I just wasted!
