First time I’ve ever seen this bad boy multi blade tree trimmers, it was friggn awesome.

This creek reminds me of bayou’s in the south.

I used to work in this area 45 years ago so it’s always fun to revisit my early California years. At four corners junction along the Sacramento River I stopped at a small convenience store for lunch.

The special was pork tacos…yum. You just never know who you may meet but I struck up a conversation with Ernie a Vietnam vet. We had a grand visit and left about the same time. As I’m getting ready to leave he pulls up and offers me a bag of very fine fresh crack walnuts from his orchard. A lot of old timers crack walnuts at home in the winter. More yum.

I really enjoyed my visit with Ernie and at 92 he was sharp. I thanked him for the walnuts and his service. A good man right there.

On a damp chilly day the wing was a fine ride. Made it home in time to prepare for the incoming powerful bomb cyclone…geez, that’s what they call a storm these days.
