chasing a intermittent head light problem. Noticeable at night.
All of a sudden headlights go out. Then will come back on (only headlights)
When I was at EOM23 someone was nice enough and said they could email a schematic for the 05 but i had forgot all about it till now.
I am elbow deep in the front end to get at the relays.
My question is, Who was I talking to at EOM23?

Re: wiring schematic 05
With the front Tupperware off i can get to the relays and check pin fitment which may be the issue.
There is one wire in a connector under that gets hot. (under the tank) I removed it from the connector and joined it together outside of its buddies. And the lights went out again. (thought it was headlight feed) There is not any green crusties anywhere. So this makes me think relay pins.
Thanks for the help.

Re: wiring schematic 05
Well the plastics are all back on.
What I did was to order all new relays. only 4 of 5 were available.
I checked all wire connectors and I did find that two of the headlight relays spade connection was very loose. It was the 5 pin relay. (the fat wires)
So I made a go no go gauge out of a piece of thin sheet metal. I used it as a spacer and with needle nose pliers squeezed the connection tight again.
For all the connections.
Went out for a test ride (at night) for about an hour and didn't have any issues with the headlights or high beams.
And as Paul Harvey would say,
Now you know the rest of the story.
Edit:
Thanks again raY.
