The piece that wraps around the left side of the headlight, the storage compartment, and connects to the top of the lower left fairing panel.
Im not finding any youtube videos on this, and am finding the job to be very difficult. There are 1 or 2 screws at the lower front that cannot be reached without removing the front central fairing panel, and I dont know how to get that off.

Does anyone know if there is a video somewhere on this, or what else must be removed to get this job done?

Thanks

I've done that job more than once. To put it mildly, it's a PITA. You'll need more than 2 beers. Just sayin....

Getting it off is easier than reinstalling it. Remove the screws and push pins from both small body panels to the left side of the dash and storage box area. Then start putting pressure to the top left area of the overlapping front piece to wiggle everything free. Good luck.

I just reinstalled that panel on my 2008 AE yesterday. PITA! I finally figured out that I had to be more forceful. After tucking in the tab with the screw hole into the left corner near the storage box, I had to flex the piece fairly forcefully around the front part of the box just forward of the push button. Then I remembered why I didn't want access to the mirror nuts on a Gen 2. It took a while to figure out how to replace that piece. I was actually looking for help online before I finally figured out to just man handle it a bit. I can be a man when I really have to.

Oh, and the phillips screw has to be out of the top of the box under the lid. Also the screw and push pins have to be out of the rest of the piece to the rear of the box next to the tank. I'm not removing that upper left panel again. No fun.

The two JIS (or Phillips) screws that are inside the nose and require a stubby screwdriver to remove are the PITA, IIRC.

Well...long story short...it was a royal PIA. The 2 front most screws were the biggest problem. I did get it done, but it took most of a day to do.
Thanks
