After almost 7 months the side cases arrived. Perfect no, but not enough to turn around and send them back. I actually think they fit tighter than my 2016 cases. What a sh!t show. But I have cases for SEO and beyond. Ya for me.

P.s., yes im checking the lock screws for locktite...

Edit: managed to rub out with alcohol some white smudge marks on the black plastic. I guess they are ok.

Good thing i checked the screws, not a drop of locktite.

Almost certainly polish. usually hard to clean with water, I use some car trim blackening stuff.

7 months is crazy.

Ray pointed out that the Yamaha instructions say use locktite. The service manager even confirmed that.

Glad you finally got them.

Mine are in good shape, no marks. The left one doesn't close as easy as it should but it works.

They really lock hard on the bike, more so than my 2016. Much tighter, little movement. Maybe get a little loose with time, they pop when locking on the bike. Better than loose and waiting for another 7months for a replacdment if needed.

When i called Yamaha a month or so , the rep said they switched to a new supplier, maybe just a bit newer molds. Who knows. I got'm and I'll use them.

I saw a complete set of "Gen 1" luggage is available on ADVRIDER. PANNIERS, BAGS, TOP BOX etc. The seller seems to be getting reasonabler on his price.
