We both took US - 60 East out of Phoenix and then AZ -70 South East from Globe.
The wet weather has put snow on some of the peaks and caused the desert to bloom in a spectacular fashion. Just a few pix:
The Superstition Mountains just East of Phoenix.

Thar's Snow on those hills Pardn'r
We rejoined forces at Deming NM about 1600 hours, loaded the Gray Ghost for tomorrow's 350 mile drive to Big Bend. I opted to ride today in the low 50's but dry weather, tomorrows Big Bend forecast is for daytime rain and night time Snow! Big Bend Campers are looking at a wet night with low around 35F Saturday and Sunday before it starts to warm up.
Abercrombie and I walked 513 feet to a restaurant around the corner. Abercrombie ordered ribs, I ordered a mixed plate.
Both were tasty but had to be sent back because the food was Cold. It turns out that while preparing our meals the cook fainted. You can't make this shit up.
The staff stepped up and made it all good.
Watching a little March Madness and relaxing.
More tomorrow night.

Your heroes at the mouth of Santa Elena Canyon - Mexico on the left, USA on the right of the notch.
This is how they are made " This is 'Pants cummin at you from the mouth of the Santa Elena Canyon......."
Just a little snow remaining on shaded North facing slopes today, it will be all gone tomorrow.
I just love the views and vistas

The loop totaled just over 300 miles, twisty bits spaced by long straight stretches with grand vistas.
Approaching the observatory before the road gets great.
Back on FM 170
Josh is supposed to cook steaks tonight but the five Boys have not yet returned from their "Off - Road" Adventure. Meanwhile, there is a fresh bottle of "Shampoo" awaiting 'Pants, A very smooth Reposado we discovered while in Baja.

After breakfast he went off with the young houligans, I rode out to and up into the Chisos Basin this morning. For some reason, yet to be determined, but likely opeerator error none of the pictures were saved on the camera. I had to search and borrow a few. Now over 4,000 miles since March 4th. We start home in the morning.
After my ride I hit d's Iron Horse BBQ for a Brisket Sandwich and a Shiner Bock. The view from lunch -
AJ is cooking Fajitas tonight.
