I got the 8975 double adjustable shock. No remotes to hoses. still has preload and compression and rebound dampening adjustment.
saved me some money and I didn't like all the remote stuff anyway.

I'm at 76,500 miles this week, I'm replacing all the pivot bearings and replacing shock, rebuilding forks with springs etc.... Should be fun!

Traxxion knows their shit. My Bike hasn't been right since the last time I did my forks. Everything was wrong with it. Spring rates wrong, dampening wrong. Rear shock was just wornout. And those 8 little pivot bearings are a real bitch to get out. Everything is new now. Feels better than the day I bought her. I'm thrilled to death. I have actually been riding scared, it was so bad in corners and bumps etc. HAPPY

Holy crap! You put 76K on a stock shock? I guess she does handle a little better. :o

Ok, that makes sense. From my experience, the handling becomes so bad that the bike starts to get a little dangerous after 30K.

You scared me there. I could only imagine what an FJR with 70K on any shock would handle like.

Rode some more this morning... Basically I went from what felt like a spring toy ride in a playground to a high speed rail car. Seesaw is gone brake dive is gone wallow is gone. It feels fantastic. Again,,, happy camper.

I gotta say, Traxxion got it right. Fully loaded on last weeks 2500 mile trip was a dream. I did scrape a peg early on in the trip, but cranked up a little more preload for the extra load and it never happened again. Having a suspension that adjusts for conditions is a nice thing to have and that stiffer spring and AK20 cartridge in the forks keeps me from bottoming out forks ALL the time stopping. Really notice a difference with a full load! It handles the weight shift great! I am thrilled.

Glad to hear you are thrilled. At 30k I got me a Penske/GP Suspension setup cause one of the smart peeps here in the Pacific Northwest let me ride his FJR with a Penske/GP set up. In 3 turns I knew the stock FJR suspension on my bike stunk. My experience with the upgraded suspension is the same as yours. Enjoy your NEW ride.
