2013 FJR - Universal Hand Guards
Greetings!!!
Got these Universal Motorcycle Handguards ( https://a.co/d/cd7q2Xw ) for $25.
I am positive that most of the forum would dislike them for their fitment or looks etc . My buddy ‘BigE’ definitely looked away..LOL.
- Will touch tank and dash on full turns. This also depends on handlebar-risers and VStream/touring windscreen combinations. I am using with VStream and no bar risers.
- I didn’t mind (for now) the issue with the turn-radius, as I hardly use all that turn.
- need some extra-caution, preparation and mindful on the short-turns.
- Finger-tips are still getting cold , so not sure if the construction is really helping the cool breeze away from knuckles or not. Will try on few more rides to decide to keep or not.
- Had to use 2x brake lever bolt-nuts from a 07 GSXR600.
- Need little dremmel’ing to accommodate clutch-lever movement.
Will upload the pics shortly, if anyone want to give a try.
Happy and Safe Riding !!

Re: 2013 FJR - Universal Hand Guards
Why go through all that hassle when a set of 14-16 Suzuki Vstrom guards work perfectly and contain all the hardware necessary? No interference.
I spent most of my money on guns, motorcycles, women, and whiskey. The rest I just wasted!

I am using the same factory bar ends, with those hand guards. Didn’t use those acrylic/plastic barends that came with Universal ones.raYzerman wrote:Can't use the universal ones with bar ends........ or, how'd you solve that problem?

Are those lights on the universal ones or just reflectors?

Lookie in the link, there's 3 kinds..... reflective tape, reflectors and with lights... slightly different styles.

I think those are nice, and a good alternative to the Vstrom hand guards at a fraction of the cost.
