New River Gorge Trip This Weekend

I'm riding down to the New River Gorge tomorrow (Saturday) with my brother who doesn't ride much. He has a 2005 FZ6 and not much in the way of riding gear, but I'll help him out there. We're meeting up with 3 guys from the Chesapeake Bay area for a 3 or 4 day ride. We rented a cabin about 4 miles from the New River Gorge Bridge. We have room at the cabin for a couple more guys if anyone is interested. We'll be staying overnight Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Saturday is actually Bridge Day, but we won't be there in time for that. We'll make a 5 or 6 hour ride of it on the way there from Pittsburgh. There's a fire ring and a picnic table out back at the cabin. Nice place to drink a few adult beverages and BS around the fire.
I'm not sure where we'll be riding exactly, but it isn't all that far from where we stayed for EOM. I'll see if any of the EOM routes make sense. I'm sure my Garmin can find me a gravel road or 2.
If anyone will be in the area, feel free to contact me.

Be advised, there will be ~100,000 extra people most of the weekend. Anywhere nearby restaurants and gas stations will be crawling. I'm amazed you found a place to stay.
Don't ignore the roads to the south of Fayetteville/Beckley. 60, old 19, 16, 10, 20, 52, 3, 12, 122, 219, 80, 97 all great riding but none on current EOM routes. Many of the roads listed were mapped for Lewisburg EOMs back when. Might be worth tapping into some of those.
You gents be careful.

Thank you Sir! And thanks for the road suggestions. I won't be too thrilled with the crowds. We booked this trip over a month ago and got lucky to find a cabin. At least we have Monday to ride also.

Forgot 99 and 85. Very nearby and Bolt Mtn (99) is magnificent. Also 41 out of Beckley (or back in) into the Upper NR Gorge and on into Babcock State Park would be well worth a looksee.
Safe journey.

He does seem to be a dangerous person. A threat to humanity, even.

Just arrived home safely. Left New River Gorge area around 9:00 this morning at 30 degrees. It would have been more comfortable if it was a tad warmer.
