Went out for a little ride today to hang out with a bunch of Geezers and the old MC's. There was a meet and greet in the morning and most of the folks went up the mountain or ran around the local tasty back roads.
I stayed and hung with these guys while they tried to sort out the brakes on this 48 HRD. Thats the host showing us his better side, he has a couple of these and is trying to help out the new owner. After and hour or two they figured something internal was wrong on the right drum.

Pretty interesting system using a balance beam of sorts.

The owner had seven Nortons that I counted.

A couple of nice Triumps in back, four R90-S's and one R100-S.

The Hack was updated with an R90 motor and twin Yamaha disk brakes.

Another nice old BMW.

A nice many year build.

I like how this guy personalized his HRD.

A few more before the phone died.

I've had a couple of old Tridents so always have a soft spot for triples. Here are a couple of nice Triple's.

Lavarda RGS 100

I had to get on my knees to see if it was really a fuel door!

Wife didn't feel like getting hot and stick so he had to take his old driver!?!

Fun day to get out and lot more MC's were there and most of them were rode there with a few trailer queens.

Dinner was provided, Ribs and a bunch of different salads.

For me I got a good ride in going both ways and enjoyed talking with the qeezers.

LOVE the saddlebags on the HRD - that is a beautiful motorcycle.

Have a close friend that owned (and recently sold for stupid unbelievable money) a Laverda triple. He said owning it was kind of like owning the Ducati 915. The amount of work, toil, and money it took to get ONE ride out of it was worth the effort in the beginning. But soon, the nostalgia wears and its too expensive a toy to just look at in the garage.
