Test loading complete, I look like Jed Clampett between here and Helena carrying a set of tires and a tail bag full of goodies for Pterodactyl.
The first stop is "The Outpost" (Pterodactyl's place) in Helena MT for a day to get ready and rendezvous with SkooterG.
Pterodactyl, his "Spousal Unit" - (wife "Annie"), SkooterG, and I will set out bright and early on Wednesday, June 8th, for Radium Hot Springs BC. Then Jasper AB, Vanderhoef BC, and Stewart BC/Hyder AK.
After Hyder, we will head North on the Cassiar Highway and stop in Nugget City then head to Whitehorse, YT before arriving in Dawson City YT on June 15th for the 29th "Dust to Dawson" - read all about D2D here - https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/2022 ... g.1535359/
Going Up -
After fun and games in Dawson City, we will head South to Whitehorse then to Liard Hot Springs for a soak and down the ALCAN highway until SkooterG and I break off for CFR in Nakusp and Pterodactyl and the "Spousal Unit" head directly home to Helena for a long-scheduled home renovation project.
Coming home -
I will try to keep this report up to date but as we are camping 50% of the time and the "Timmy's" with free internet access are few and far between it may be intermittent.
Our days are usually pretty short so there will be time to stop and take a few photos along the way.
Skooter and I may break off early, it just depends.
I'm hoping for the dry weather I had in 2019 with Festar, Fred, Phil, and Charlene but the long-range forecast looks like we might see rainy weather like I experienced in 2017 (14 days of rain out of 21 days on the road).
