Ramble On

Allegheny Highlands of Virginia today. Crossed a continental divide, though not sure of the exact location, from streams that drain west to the Ohio River to the easterly flowing headwaters of James River. My bike spent a few minutes in two states at once (bi-stateal? not that there's anything wrong with that).

Leaves are falling all around
It's time I was on my way
Image
Thanks to you I'm much obliged
For such a pleasant stay
Image
But now it's time for me to go
Image
The autumn moon lights my way
For now I smell the rain
And with it pain
And it's headed my way
Image
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired
But I know I've got one thing I got to do
Ramble on
Image
Sing my song
On my way
Ramble on
Image
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams
Image
Got no time for spreadin' roots
The time has come to be gone
And though our health we drank a thousand times
It's time to ramble on
Image

Ramble on
To sing my song
On my way
Ramble on
Image
Mine's a tale that can't be told
My freedom I hold dear
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air
'T was in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair
Image
But Gollum the evil one
Crept up and slipped away with her
Her, her, yeah
Image
Ain't nothing I can do about it
Ramble on
Sing my song
On my way
Ramble on
Ramble on
Sing my song
On my way
Ramble on
Image
Oh yeah…
Ramble on
Sing my song
On my way
Ramble on

Last weekend I tried to ride up Williams River Road to the scenic highway but for the second year in a row the road was gated at the lower bridge. Curse words may have been involved. Must be a major construction task and no money has been allocated?
