Ramblin' Fever
My hat don't hang on the same nail too long
My ears can't stand to hear the same old song
And I don't leave the highway long enough
To bog down in the mud
'Cause I've got ramblin' fever in my blood
I caught this rambling fever long ago
When I first heard a lonesome whistle blow
If someone said I ever gave a damn
They damn sure told you wrong
I've had ramblin' fever all along
Ramblin' fever
The kind that can't be measured by degrees
Ramblin' fever
There ain't no kind of cure for my disease
There's times I'd like to bed down on a sofa
And let some pretty lady rub my back
And spend the early morning drinking coffee
And talkin' about when I'll be coming back
Cause I don't let no woman tie me down
And I'll never get too old to get around
I want to die along the highway and rot away
Like some old highline pole
And rest this ramblin' fever in my soul
Ramblin' fever
The kind that can't be measured by degrees
Ramblin' fever
There ain't no kind of cure for my disease
Ramblin' fever
The kind that can't be measured by degrees
Ramblin' fever
There ain't no kind of cure for my disease
Lawd, there ain't no kind of cure for my disease

I've said it before, but THIS ^^^^ is what I envision doing with a dual sport. Nothing radical, single track, rock climbing shit that is gonna hurt me bad. Just some gravel and groomed dirt roads that I can get away from the others on and .... breathe.
Well done, sir.

Thank ye. Decent output. Traffic notices it.
Cyclops brand housing. Lamp is (was) used in a Jeep CJ or some such model. Mine is a halogen but an LED is available.
Light was swapped over from Snowflake 1.0. along with a bunch more goodies.
I now get a never ending Quadratec catalog supply as a result of replacing the lamp.

I may get a second DR worked up this winter assuming I don't fubar it.
You should volunteer to help exercise it.
It only took two outings to hook Wayne (3 if you count Dolly Sods by FJR!). He hasn't been worth a damn since.

Re: Ramblin' Fever
You'd almost be better off with a scrambler or adv type bike. Single track I love, the rock climbing stuff not so much. Having a motorized vehicle to get deep out into nature just does it for me.Hppants wrote: βWed Oct 20, 2021 1:32 pm I've said it before, but THIS ^^^^ is what I envision doing with a dual sport. I like it all, Rock climbing, two track, rolling hills, gravel (as long as it is not dead straight grids), single track, dirt, mud, dust, and anything else.gixxerjasen wrote: βWed Oct 20, 2021 2:10 pmYou'd almost be better off with a scrambler or adv type bike. In 10 years, your likes will begin to move along a spectrum. In 20, you will not recognize where you started.Cav47 wrote: βWed Oct 20, 2021 3:14 pmI like it all, Rock climbing, two track, rolling hills, gravel (as long as it is not dead straight grids), single track, dirt, mud, dust, and anything else.gixxerjasen wrote: βWed Oct 20, 2021 2:10 pmYou'd almost be better off with a scrambler or adv type bike. Re: Ramblin' Fever
She occasionally asks me when I am gonna grow up and get rid of that "dirt bike"?
My response was "Are you giving me permission to look for something to replace it?"
I did not even get a response to dignify my question.
I am keeping the dirt bike.
My loose plan is to buy another KLX and swap the plastics if needed to keep her in the dark.
