Anyone have MCL highway pegs? Just wondering if they are worth the price. Seems like they would spread legs to wide and not far enough forward on bike. ...

I have a set and have used them for almost a year. Mainly commuter and weekend runs to the mountains.The benefit will depend on your height and what type of seat you have.
My biggest complaint is my shins contact the fairings at the pointed area just below the tank.
I'm 5'5" and 175 LB with a Sargent touring seat. I still find them worthwhile and would buy them again. ( I did get mine used and paid around 60.00)

Unlike the highway pegs on my Wingabago, the MCL pegs are not in the correct position to ride for a hundred miles at a time. Keep in mind that I'm 6'3" and long-legged
HOWEVER, they are useful for the occasional change of position to give my legs, knees and feet a change of position & get the circulation going.
I'm glad I have them!

The one thing to consider with these or any other 'hiway peg" - If you push the bike and explore the limits of lean angle on it, these can touch down before other, spring loaded parts. They do offer another foot / leg position which is helpful if you're forced to endure extended highway cruising.

These are my highway pegs. I machined an aluminum insert for my sliders mounted a set of Kuryakyn highway Pegs to them. Very comfy for me and my regular foot pegs touch way before these ever would. I don't go to highway peg touch. I do however drag an occasional peg. Not so often with the new suspension though. I rest my foot on top of them usually not feet bottom against. Highway use only


And they make a handy helmet hanger even if it upsets Alex...

I added the MCL highway pegs last year right after I bought my Gen II. I found they weren't very comfortable and that I wouldn't use them for more than three to five minutes and then just to give the pain in my thighs a break.

Last winter I added the MCL triple tree plate replacement to raise and bring the bars back a little and also added a Russell All Day Saddle. Now I find the sitting angle relation to the highway pegs more comfortable and use them up to 30 minutes at a time on the open highway. I no longer get the thigh pain but did need to send the saddle back to Russell for adjustments for a different discomfort I wasn't experiencing before that I don't believe is related to the highway pegs.
