Ok, so first, if you've got a good deal on some used Gen II highway pegs, hit me up. I'm looking to snag a set of highway pegs from Garauld and his hydration system.
Looking at Garauld's page, he's got two options for the actual pegs. He's got the less expensive sleek nice looking pegs, and he's got the more expensive looks like it came off a harley grandpa comfort pegs. Are the comfort pegs worth it? Should I be pairing his brackets with something else? Just curious before I order something.

Sorry, not a highway peg user, but...... If you're concerned about ground clearance and happen to have crash bars.... in another sandbox, a guy installed these, and they fold in against the bars and don't stick out ...... which would be a concern if you ever dropped the bike.

Additional pic.... rather clever design.

aliexpress -- just say no. IMO.
I have had highway pegs on my Gen I. Complaint #1: The pegs were so close to the faring that it was hard to get a comfortable foot position. Complaint #2: I couldn't get them off fast enough. After they dragged hard on a corner.

I have the MCL pegs and I love them. They look factory and they are up high enough. I can't imagine being over enough to scrape them. YMMV .

I’ll give the node to Garauld’s brackets with the less expensive pegs.
Used them on my ‘03 and currently on my ‘18.
I did drag the knob of the peg a couple of times on my 2003 when folded up but never an issue on the ‘18.
I figure I’m slowing down in my old age

I have hwy pegs on the engine guards. They'll be coming off soon. I scrape them before the rider pegs.
