Hello from Goodman4
Well I feel like I just fell into a time hole. Here is where all you idiots landed. I wasn't posting much on a particular forum for a good while but came back in 2020 to find lots of the people that I learned so much from over the years not active anymore. I was told that everybody went to facebook.
I have become friends (in my mind at least) with 1911 and he asked me if I was on FJRRiders. I was not even aware it existed.
So hello to those that might remember me. I followed Wheatie's path out west for our first 5000 mile trip back in 2014 that started a huge change in our lives. I sold a patched tire to HRZ. RedFishHunter and I traded routes and pictures for different trips. Bust pissed me off a couple times when I first joined until I realized he was really being helpful in his entertaining way. Several names I see here gave me advice when I was first trying to adjust my FJR for my comfort or helped me plan my many trips. I owe the FJR community a lot.
Anyway, I'm only a light poster but a heavy reader, so I'll be lurking here. I still have the FJR but I ride the Goldwing on the long trips and I have a new MT10 that's getting all my attention since November. Glad you guys are still riding.

Re: Hello from Goodman4
Welcome! I would have sent a post to say where I landed, but my high crimes and misdemeanors were too much for a certain person to bear.
Glad to have you here. Glad you could use something from my trip. I also consider 1911 a friend...I think he reviews that every so often...as of the last review, I think I’m still “in” the 1911 friend club. No patch yet though.

Welcome Paul! I love your "Name That Place" thread over on that other forum. You've obviously been around the block. Hope to see you out there.

HA! HA! I did the same just some months back. Don't know how I missed this place after being on the other two since 09. But it's good here. All the usual suspects. Enjoy!

So who told you we went to fb, instead of 'Riders?
An obvious misdirect...was that you Bust?
Anyway, I see you still have one post. I believe you need a handful more posts for the newbie blinders to come off so you can get to see more and more of the board.
Post some more...otherwise we won't really know if you are back.

I used your Ride Report as well as Wheaton's as the basis for one Epic FJR Trip and the longest and best Family Vacation we ever did. I will never forget showing my wife and Pop your Ride Report Pics and telling them we were going to see those places.
One of the many great things about the FJR Community is that we eventually owe each other and we pay that debt back in many ways. Your Ride Reports have paid back any debt you may have ever owed, with interest.
You need to take another trip and write another Ride Report!

Re: Hello from Goodman4
I was trying to plan a trip to Washington and the Colorado Rockies this summer but I don't know if it is going to happen for multiple reasons. It's still fun to plan it. I'm taking the California Super Bike School levels 1 and 2 in May.
I have EOM on the calendar but timing makes that about 20% likely. I'd sure like to meet the community.
I can't remember who told me people were leaving for FB. I think I was asking about Fred W at the time. Since then he helped me setup my suspension on the MT10. I don't think anyone kept it from me intentionally. I always thought the "other forum" meant FJROwners. I joined but never posted I think.

Now just 3 or 4 more posts and you can send PMs I think.

Welcome! I post about as much here as I do there (just a tad more than none). "Name that place" is taking me down memory lane as I dredge up photos from past rides.
