According to their FB page, D&H changed ownership on or before 12/11/2020. Anyone bought a warranty from them since then? Wondering if the sub-$400 Y.E.S. is a thing of the past.

New ownership? ...yes, after 50 years the Hoppers have retired.
D & H Cycle, Inc -- A joint venture between Rick Herron and Aaron Sellers. We hope to have an open house as soon as we get things rolling.
We are excited to announce our Soft Grand Reopening on Friday December the 11th under new ownership!!
=========================
It remains to be seen what this means to us. Quick, somebody go buy a new motorcycle and see how things are with the new owners.

Not me. That feeling passed.
I am two years from retirement. I will put about 5k a year on the MT09 till then. I will put about the same or a little more on the FJR. So I am good for a couple of years.
I am going to get a new FJR for myself as a retirement present.
I am going to do my Forest Gump ride starting the day after I retire. Going to ride until I say I am tired and ready to go home.

Bill, if you're volunteering to make a recon run ... schedule it for the MLK weekend, and I'll ride shotgun with my cool hat:
It's a 3-hour ride (at the speed limit) on I-20 and I-65 through B-ham, but much more fun by way of Summerville, Mentone, Menlo, and Scottsboro. Maybe scenic route over and express train back.
.

I’m down for whatever if my schedule allows. I rode to
D&H to buy both my extended warranties. A rite of passage.

I was there with Hud when we were gifted those hats from D&H. It was pretty cool for sure. The was a RTE with Turk, Griff and Hud. February 20 of 2016. Weather was good enough for a quick run down there.

Last run I made was for the 2018 warranty. Poured rain the entire time. I was dripping everywhere. The owner and the lady in the back were very nice. He went into detail about number of bikes he sold in the average quarter, how much stock he had in the building next door, and how his minimal internet presence was intentional, so as to not attract local competition. Showed Yamaha sales reports showing D&H at or near the top for the last several years. It was an interesting visit.

Our visit was similar. Son in law (?) was there working on the R1 he raced for the factory team. There were no chicken strips whatsoever on his rear racing slick.

D&H is 50 minutes from me. Cool they have (had) cats in the showroom sleeping on motorcycle seats.

Bet they found no mouse nest in the airboxes, though.

Well, we no longer have a princess bedroom for you to sleep in. You can still sleep in that room, but with way less pizzazz!

Has anyone had the transmission recall performed at the new D&H?
The dealer I purchased from is 28 miles, another is 24, D&H is 47 miles. Am losing patience.
