Running wires

Greetings,
I am working on a power distribution module for my '13. I want to place the module under the seat and need to run a 10 gage positive wire from the battery to the module (only running (+), no ground from the battery to the module). In addition, I want to run lines for the Garmin, Starcom and eventually, Gerbring as well. The shortest, easiest path is under the tank, but I am worried about heat. I know that the fuel pump/tank wires are under there, so it seems like it should not be an issue. I will enclose all wires in a loom to further protect them.
Is the route for wiring that most take?

under the tank. the suggestion was to use a, i think asphalt impregnated, loom under the take to help with heat protection. napa is where i bought mine.

I have my lead from the battery to my pdb along the right side of the bike under the tank and along the frame. It is 10ga and run through wire loom as suggested by wpbfjr - I've done this on my last 3 fjr's, and have seen no damage to the wire loom or wire from heat or abrasion.

If you have a superior Gen II, you can run the wires under the tank above the foil insulation pad and not worry about heat. A loom or protective tape in strategic spots after that will prevent abrasion along the way to the rear.......

Not having messed with FJR wiring since I added an FZ1 Fuze Block to my '13 back in early '14 I did a little searching and found this thread which stimulated my aging memory. This is how I did it.
I have Festars '13 FJR on my lift and am about to repeat the process.
My question - I'm seeking a "Switched power" trigger source under the seat to trigger the relay.
What is the wire I'm looking for?

Left side cover... just aft of the airbox there's a 6-way connector, 5 used. Beside it is two spade connectors for the licence plate light, I think the power wire is blue/yellow.... the blue wire in the 6-way is the tail light wire..... pick one. Either will trigger your relay, very low draw. Note, black is ground.

I should mention that ADmore sells a plug and play harness to create duplicate set of wires from that 6-way, and is long enough to take into the tail or top box.... if you're planning any rear lighting to supplementl signals, brake, tail, there ya go.

I recently used blue/red license plate light wire with bullet connectors to connect PC-8 on a 2015.

I wouldn't worry about running wires under the tank. I've ran garmin power wires (bare, no wrap) tank bag power (wrapped in cloth harness tape) and other wires (wrapped in electrical tape) for the last 8 years running FJRs and 10 plus yrs in other bikes. Never a problem. I'm more concerned with running wire so no chaffing.

Not hot enough under the tank to affect anything, esp. if you keep it above the foil insulation pad.

I ran everything up the right side next to the existing harness and it all looks just fine, everything is properly wrapped and above the insulator sheet. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

My only hesitancy to running wires 'under the tank' is that they will be in the way when it comes time for a valve check. On the '15 I just did I ran then on the right side along the frame, kinda under the tank.

Leave them a bit longer so you can put them aside out of the way......
