Hello from an MT-09 rider in Ontario

Hi everyone!
I signed up on this forum last year, but didn't introduce myself because I ride a Yamaha MT-09. But recently I found a post by danh600 about his new MT-09, so I decided it was finally time I joined the conversation (
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=5145&p=117245#p117245).
So allow me to introduce myself to everyone else.
I've ridden pillion on my husband Rick's (Geosci) 2003 FJR since 2012. Then in 2017, at age 53, I took the leap and learned to ride.
I spent the next 2 years putting 15,000 miles (24,000 km) on a Yamaha XT250 dual sport. I loved that bike, and it was great to learn on.
Then last July I bought a new 2018 MT-09, and rode 10,000 miles (16,000 km) in my first 4 months!
I
adore this bike!
So far, my longest one-day ride was 500 miles (800 km), and my longest trip was EOM 2019 Maggie Valley, 3000 miles (5000 km).
Shortly after the above picture was taken, I got an education from Gerald (clocklaw) and Steve (bungie4) about how to lean.
Then this happened:
Thank you to all the wonderful people I've met at FJR events who have made me feel so welcome!
Looking forward to riding the twisties with you again ASAP!

Nice to see another MT09 rider on the board.
Riding an FJR is certainly not a requirement to be part of this dysfunctional family.
I have about 750 miles on the MT09. I am loving it!

Being a great player has nothing to do with being a great coach.
Welcome from south Louisiana, Madam. We are very happy to have you.

If Yamaha is still putting those stoopidly long peg feelers on MTs/Tracers then dump'em. Replace with a shorter bolt. It's been a while but I think I used an M10x30mm.
