TCS - Traction Control System

It works - and works well.

3 degrees Celsius and coming a across a wooden bridge mid turn. On the gas and engine cuts slightly and the big orange TCS light is on. Bike didn't unsettle one bit. Not sure how things would have ended up on the old bike or if I had the TCS turned off.

Couple of places get sand on the road around here. I have seen the light flicker a few times. I usually feel the back jump just a little.

Key ON, engine not started. Push button 1. Say, "I want to die today." Start the engine and ride away with the TCS OFF.



Pull the rear wheel ABS sensor out of the housing, put it in a sturdy plastic bag and zip tie it to the torque arm. Ride away without ABS. Have a nice day

No, Yes.....
Many fun times can be had accelerating or braking on a wet/icy wooden bridge..... Just pull the fuse for ABS, it will avoid the error codes flashing at you in the right display ('16 up), but will leave the ABS light on. Removing the sensor or leaving the trigger wheel off your wheel will result in TCS and Check Engine Light on, Cruise not available. Lights will go off when situation corrected, but will have stored codes.

If you miss it that much, I'll be selling my 2005 soon. The front ABS works, but the back doesn't. My right clavicle and several ribs can testify to that. The investigating trooper said I was going really slow....

Gunny! I found out going into a dipped, left curved, narrow country bridge.

Also hard to get traction when the wheels are a little elevated. Like when exiting a dipped, left curved, narrow country bridge.

I had been known to have that problem on the 04, but never with the Gen 3. She just won’t do it unless you turn off the TCS. DAMHIK. Lol.
