Hey all,
I'm new to the group and just sold my Aprilia Tuono to buy an FJR1300 so I hope to have one very soon and look forward to some great rides with some of you folks as well as learning more about the FJR. This will be my first sport touring bike as I have mostly had sportbikes and 2 naked bikes.

Looking at 06-2010 due to budget and I know those were great platforms too.

Salud!

I would recommend later in those years, 08 and up. The others were fine but teething issues.

Welcome.

I'm on my 2nd 2009, solid - even after riding through a deer... Good luck with the hunt!

If you end up with an '06-'07, be aware Ivan's Performance has a flash for the ECU that will take care of all those teething problems with the FI and more than we were able to do with Power Commanders..... budget $400.... I wouldn't even hesitate.... plus the '07 Black Cherry was the fastest colour.... that is until the '14 Root Beer came along, so fast you'll never see one.. they didn't let the US guys have them they were just too fast.

Welcome. A few of us in metro ATL. Close enough to the Southern Appalachians for some magnificent day rides.
