I just replaced my well-used 2000 VFR for a clean 2006 FJR1300. SO much more comfortable. I LOVE this bike! Can't wait for spring to head out on some looong adventures.

Welcome from Central Ohio.
I dunno about your folks who swap your VFRs for FJRs. You seem a little shady.

Hey, Senecahome, I'm in Harrisonburg, VA too! We'll have to get together. If you see a guy on a black FJR wearing a yellow and black mesh jacket, it's me.

Harrisonburg? That's the gateway to Mecca there
33 over into the Promise Land of WV. You certainly got a great bike for someone living there. It will serve you well.
Welcome from Richmond as well
I'll keep my eyes open for you. That's my go to route for getting into WV.

Welcome aboard.
Um, define "looong"
Gonna need to know where to file you amongst the inmates here and that question is very defining around these parts.
Regular 2006 with the nice blue or the ugly AE?

I also ride a black FJR - 2009. Ususlly wear a OLD red (pink) Aerostich Roadcrafter or a silver textile jacket.

I'm hoping "looong" will be something like 1-3 months. Not too concerned with maximum straight hours on the bike, just an extended adventure predicated on riding.

Sounds like the previous owner swapped plastic with an 08 or 09. I remember some people doing that.
