New fjr, new forum member
Like I needed another bike. It started off by selling one. A sports bike that was fast enough but uncomfortable to ride for long periods of time/distance. Something about the old guy paunch and back. But I digress. The kid that wanted it came up a a new matte blue fjr. He wanted my bike and had cash but wanted to ride it. He looked around at the bikes in my shop and smiled before asking, "do you want to ride mine so you can at least keep me in sight?"
It was tall (I was thinking close to altitude sickness tall). It was quiet, really quiet. I could hear myself think. It was smooth. It had cruise control!?! It wasn't for sale. He bought mine for the asking price and once it was gone I was left in a bewildered state. I was supposed to be selling but now I needed another.
Already long story short, I ended up with a 2015 A with just over 4K. Sargent seat, sprinkling of accessory mounts, otherwise basically stock. It sleeps on the far side of the shop away from the vintage twins and triples but hopefully it will take me on some long trips before the need for heated gear hits the south.

Easy there Bob, vintage twins does not mean old siblings that you would like to "get with"!
Great news. Welcome to the fun forum. Ride to an event and have a great time.

Thanks for the gracious welcomes. The first week has been enjoyable while learning the bikes temperaments and idiosyncrasies. Still need to work on fit to get comfortable.
I did see the announcements for the EOM in Sept. WNC is one of my favorite places to get lost from work. Schedule permitting, I will try to block that out and try the gathering and meet some of you in person.

Yep, crossed Cherohala at 32f, and left Tellico Plains at 24f. Heated gear would have been nice.
