Hello all. New to the forum. I’m from upstate SC. I own a 2014 FJR. As luck would have it Ivan from Ivan’s Performance moved from NY to upstate SC a few months back. I have his map on my FJR. It’s a great flash.
As much as I have loved my FJR, this is my second one, I’m thinking of getting something even more on the sporty side. But everything I have test ridden seems to fall short of the FJR in one category or another.
I have another bike. 2017 FZ07. Slip on pipe and dyno flash/tune from superbike unlimited. I have to say that the FZ07 is one of the best bikes ever built. So much fun to ride and rivals 1000cc nakeds with my mods.
Anyway, I rode a BMW S1000XR yesterday and that is the buzziest bike I’ve ever ridden. Hands fell asleep in 5 miles. So much vibration!!! And despite having around 10 more HP and weighing over 100lbs less than my FJR, it didn’t feel any sportier.
I also rode a Ducati Supersport S which Ducati classifies as a sport tourer. It was surprisingly comfortable and the engine and transmission felt great. It was also gorgeous. Matte white with red rims. But they wanted more than book value for it and only offered me $4,500 for my FJR!!!! Of course I walked away.....laughing and mocking them.
