The abs sensor mount for the rear wheel is held in position by engaging a tab on the swing arm..what stops the abs sensor mount on the front wheel from rotating?

The front wheel ABS sensor has a "tit" on it the is supposed to fit within a similar complementary indention on the left front lower fork.
Being the first to answer a technical question correctly feels.... empowering!!

Actually the "tit" is on the fork and engages a slot on the ABS housing. Don't get rambunctious!

The important take-away is that there is a tab and a slot, it doesn't really matter
who is on top which is on the right or left.
