The Official 2019 Calendar Contest

I was going to apologize for this being delayed, but I'm 2 weeks faster than last year so I'm doing well. I'm allowing 2 submissions per user this year, but only the top rated one for each user will be considered for the calendar.

Calendar Contest

You can also get to it from the main page.

Contest Rules
1) Vote fairly!  This contest is meant to be fun and a benefit to our FJR community.  Any attempts to sabotage the contest will result in disqualification and/or ban from the contest and forum.

2) Voting is a 5 star system.  Click on the highest star you want to award.  Rankings are a combination of rating and number of votes.

3) This is an FJRiders member calendar, not specifically an FJR calendar. You may see pictures of other bikes. Award stars based on what you feel is calendar worthy and what criteria you feel an entry should meet.

4) Submissions are sent to motorcyclecalendar@gmail.com and make sure to send the high resolution picture. Two submission per member. Only the top rated image per user will be considered. Pick your best ones!

5) Photos must be you own.  No paid photography.  You may submit another image if you do not like how your image is performing.  All votes for your image are reset.

6) Anyone submitting a photo automatically grants permission for the FJRiders.com staff to use the photo in any FJRiders.com or FJR-related applications.

7) Contest ends December 8th. Pictures may be submitted til then, but rankings are determined by a combination of score and total number of votes. Get your submissions in early so you can receive more votes.

8) I am not turning the calendar sideways for a month. Photos must be in landscape orientation. Photos also must be a high enough resolution for printing.

Let me know if you guys have any issues.

Good luck everyone!

Just to clarify...these are to be our OWN photos, correct?

Not photos of us by a professional photographer? I only ask for clarification because one or more photos shown so far seem to be that type.

Actually, that's a good call. I'll put that stipulation in the rules. No paid photography. I'm sure there's a potential liability there.

Good to hear this info because if it was Professional Photographers eliminated, every single one of TYLER'S photos would be bounced.

Thanks for doing this Tim. It has always been an awesome conversation starter to have our bikes on my wall at work.

Pffft, Tyler needs to put out a calendar of her own. I'd buy one. <hint>

As I flipped the 2018 calendar to Wayne's incredible dual sport panoramic, A thought crossed my mind:

I wonder when the 2019 calendar contest will start?

Must have been a brain fart or something.

Now.... off to the archives to see what I've got......

Here is my first submission from the Alaska 2018 trip. Denali is the tallest peak in the background, and about 70 miles from this point at Denali State Park, AK where this picture was taken. There is about a 10% chance that you ever see Denali in full sun and not covered by clouds. We got lucky.

Awesome photo. I do believe in your RR you've shared lots of other photos that kick ass. The problem is choosing...

Those are quality photo's' that capture the highlights of my riding year... I don't see anything submitted by your yet, so keep talking talking sweet cheeks and my lame ass photos might make it into the calendar over the ones you didn't submit...

Yeah...I don't see anybody's photo...except one...that was up there already when the thread was opened.

Must be a problem with the OP's setup maybe???

Impatient bunch aren't we? Geesh. Uploads aren't instant and it's still a manual process to get them on the website. Perhaps in the future I'll have a better system, but it's an evolving process. I try to get the pictures up as soon as I can.

And I had to create a new rule for Joe.
