The tubes carry hydraulic fluid. To/from the brakes ABS metering block. If it's not dripping I wouldn't worry.

Ok thanks. So the rubber sleeves are there just for protection. And I shouldn’t worry about sliding the rubber sleeve up to the nut.

Thanks a million

Yep just rubber sleeves that protect against abrasion further down where you can't see. ALL GOOD!

Absolutely you should be worried. If you are scrutinizing your FJR in that level of minute detail instead of riding it, that is Cause For Worry.

Ride More, Stress Less.

I figured since you already got your answer a little sarcasm would not hurt anything.

Dang, your damn right. I have AAA and saved money with Geico. Heading south down 101 don’t know when I’ll be back.

Hey, I always slide the rubber sleeve all the way to the nut. 8-)

I second the motion: Ride More, Stress Less.

I had my appt on a Friday morning. On Saturday I felt great, so I took the FJR for a ride. That was a BAD idea. Very bad idea. Sunday was spent in bed with frozen vegetables and lots of ibuprofen. IDIOT!!

Hahaha...Absolutely true, but I have one better.

Years ago, a buddy of mine had his done on like a Friday afternoon. I think he took one day off of work and came back on Sunday night, as we worked Graves from 0000-0800. We promptly got into a foot chase and epic fight. He started puking and pulled down his pants because, "Something's WRONG!!!!!!!!!"

His nutsack was the size of a grapefruit. It was like a train wreck. I didn't want to look, but I couldn't help it. Poor fucker spent the next 3 days in the hospital and a other 5 off of work. Brrrrrrrr...Gives me chills just thinking about it. Now, 18 years later, it's funny. The look on his face was epic.

Friend of mine had it done and decided the next day it wouldn't hurt to cut his yard since they had a riding mower. Yard was well over an acre and the mower with all its vibration and bouncing around landed him in the hospital for about a week.

I had a similar story AJ. Had the dead done on the first day of my Firefighter regularly scheduled four days off figuring everything would be good for work 3 1/2 days later. The next day back to work I figured everything was fine. The first time the alarm went off I went to slid the pole to get on the truck. When I stopped at the bottom of the pole It felt like my balls forgot to stop and continued to stretch somewhere down past my knees.

Welcome to the Forum Pat! :D

That Abercrombie feller is right, and I apologize for any role I may have inadvertently had in veering this thread from it's original question: What do these tubes do?

Pat Mitch, don't tie off those tubes unless you're sure you don't want another FJR!

Seems everyone has this done on a Friday. Interesting.

AJ, as a safety professional (using that term generically, of course), it occurred to me that the workman comp claim for your buddy would have been quite entertaining.

To the OP, as much as it pains me to admit it, I agree with my South Carolinian cousin (9th cousin, 4 times removed). You should be worried.

Any reasonable person (present company most ASSUREDLY excluded) should be worried about possibly riding with this barrel of monkeys, taking his or her life into what is certain to be at best a perilous disaster. But fear not, I say. You can take comfort in the thought of riding with any of us, as we promise to be on our best behavior at all most times.

Hey!! It's Friday tomorrow - we can't quit now. Can we?
