Thinking about putting some highway pegs on the Trex engine guards on my 14ES. Really couldn't find any good info while searching, so I am asking the collective. Who has put highway pegs on Trex engine guards and where did you get them. Thanks

Back in the olden days, I had DT125 trailbike. One day at our cottage, my mom decided she wanted to go for a ride on motorcycle. Well, ya see, 125's normally don't come with passenger pegs. Being 125's and all. The threaded mounts were there in the swing-arm.
So being stuck in the bush I had to Mcgyver something.
I found a couple of screwdrivers. They were #4 Robertsons, with a good thick shank. I then found some wood, and hammered them into holes because the holes were way bigger than the shanks on the screwdrivers. Then I hammered the screwdrivers into the wood 'bushings'.
Mom got on the bike and we went down the gravel road. Whoopin' and hollering, mom had a great time. No joke. Then she started complaining that the screwdrivers were hurting her feet. Makes sense, they were mounted on the swingarm and we were going down a rough gravel road. They must've been bouncing around like a sumbitch.
What does this have to do with highway pegs? Sometimes, pegs are where you find them.
Oh ya, for years after that, everybody would comment on my fine passenger pegs. I couldn't remove them, those things were in their tight as f@$k!

I think maybe the whooping and hollering was for a different reason?

There are a huge number of clamp-on foot pegs which could work on the T-Rex guards. The pic is a clickable link to foot peg clamps, you would then have to buy the foot peg for the clamp. They will be variations of this form:

I think you could get JimmyBob from the Used Tire dealer to weld some rebar onto your frame guard.
(Make sure you tell him which part is the frame guard.)

Thanks Ionbeam. The problem is the Trex guards are 7/8 inch diameter and all the clamps I am seeing are only good for 1 inch diameter. Of course, I guess I could cobble up a shim - just figgered someone here would already have done this.

Go on to Amazon, search for RIVCO Anti-Vibration Highway Pegs, they are $49.95. Amazon sells a 7/8" bracket that matches the pegs as well search for BKRider 7/8 Clamp. I have had these on my FJR Canyon Cages for 50,000 miles. They have worked well for me on the FJR. I bought a set for my KLR for my trip to Inuvik NWT last year, the vibration of the ALCAN, Dempster and Cassiar highways caused a crack in one of the foot peg attaching brackets which are made of Aluminum. No problems on the FJR.
