Yeah I have, not for a GPS mount though, Ram mounts are the best.
I used the adaptiv for radar mount at one time with it strapped on but I like it better as a iPod remote stand.mounted on the stem nut.

Can you quantify what made a ram mount better for you?..Being retired, I have no great need to spend more money than absolutely necessary..I just found the ram mounts website hard to navigate to find what I wanted

You can buy your ram stuff at amazon too, much easier to navigate.
Does Gerauld still make the Ram Bone? If so, I'd highly recommend that, love mine and use it daily.

Damnit, I knew that. I read this thinking "Why is he repeating what I said" and then I looked at what I said. Dumbass. Sigh. WynPro blockoff plates are awesome too. Wait, WynPro does those right?
