Grips...

What are the preferred aftermarket grips for the FJR? The stock ones are OK, but I think I would like something a bit nicer.
Is the Gen3 heated grip part of the grip its self or can a new grip be installed over whatever heating element there is?

I believe the heated grips have the elements molded into them

DO NOT CUT THE HEATED GRIPS!!!!
If you have not priced them, you should look at that before you think about tearing them off.
Just throwing this out there to save some heartache.

Hmmm. Well that sucks.

Probably difficult to find a replacement grip with the heating element and 125mm length that has some more cushion to it, I'd guess.

Your hand after running a heated soft cushioning grip at higher temperature settings:

And finding one that'll work with the computer controlled grips. IIRC it can be done but it's a pain.

Get better gloves. Or try the Grip Puppies, Grip Buddies.

I love my Lee Parks Outseam gloves ... I am with you on the grip covers, and the cheap ones are excellent

I'm not a Grip Buddy/Puppy type o' guy. The larger diameter makes my arms ache terribly. I think I've found the best smaller diameter non-heated grips around, Pro Grip 714. I've tried others but keep coming back to these.

I had the ProGrips on my 07. Loved them. But, the 14 is heated grips...
Oh well. I will figure something out.
