Farkles on My FJR

Post by fontanaman »

  • Throttle Rocker
  • Cee Bailey's Light Grey Reverse Contour Flip Up Windscreen 4 higher and 4 wider than stock.
  • Bags-Connection City Quick-Lock Tankbag
  • SW-Motech Aluminum Top Rack - I may rethink this one....
  • Heli Bars
  • Tankslapper Total Protection Kit
  • Invisible Mask Paint Protection bulk film to cover the places not covered by Tankslapper Kit.
  • Russell Day-Long Seat the best mod on my motorcycle. Before this mod the FJR was something of a novelty as I could only ride 150 miles/day. Now 600+ miles is no problem.
  • FZ1 mirrors part numbers 5LV-26280-00-00 and 5LV-26290-00-00. The stock mirrors are not wide enough and and I quickly tired of the "chicken wing thing".
  • PIAA Slim Line Sports Horn Kit a 400hz and 500hz horn. They are loud - much better than the stock horns which sound like the road runner with laryngitis.
  • Cox Radiator guard - the stock guard one allows small stone to pass such as those found on recently chip sealed roads.
  • Hyper-Lite Red Running Lamp
  • Kisan Electronics trailBlazer flashing brake lamps.
  • Garauld's Refreshment System allows you to drink water without a Camelback.
  • GP Suspension in front with a Penske shock in the rear. Awesome. Those who live in the Pac Northwest can get this done at KFG Racing in Auburn Wa.
  • Clearwater Voltage Sentry to monitor battery and alternator performance..
  • Givi 46 Top Case
Gee I don't think I want to know how much all these farkles cost. If my wife found out she'd kill me.

Sure enough.....

Here and on the bike. And one final shot.

I like the Bag Connection because it is non magnetic and I don't want to have my camera, Ipod or phone laying on a magnet. You can even get a tank to bag connector with electrical connections.

Thanks! I like that type of mounting option. I've looked at this one and the Cortech Dryver set up - just need to figure out if I'm going to use a small tank bag enough to make it worthwhile to lay out the $$$ for it.

I use my tank bag all the time for little stuff, maps, sunglasses, cleaning stuff for the visor, gps when off bike, ipod and phone. The bike is pricey but I like it so it is better to shell out the $$$ for something I like than compromise - at least in this case when it is not big big money.

Yeah that is all for now. New the FJR is not expensive compared to the competition but it needs a few farkles to make it work well for me.

If you got any unused farkle send them my way.

My next farkle is a Givi 357 Topcase Rack to replace the Motech unit - I want to avoid stress on the sub-frame.
