Hello Bamaguzzi and welcome to the Riders forum. Nice looking bike - congrats.
Searching for roads paved with Asphalt, unless I am riding the mighty DR650 bushpig.

Re: Hello from Alabama
Your not too far from FJRBandit - look him up. We are gathering at his place in Jemison this Fall (late October), look up the SFO (Southern Fjr Owners) thread for this year. And for a taste of what it was last year, check out the ride report board and look for a thread "Miles to Go". Don't worry, we are not really like we portray on that thread.... . Regardless, plan to join us this year. If you don't have camping gear, buy some and get ready for a whole new level of adventure.
Welcome to the insanity. We are glad you have joined us.

Welcome, Greg. You obviously have taste in fine machinery, still have the Guzzi?

Re: Hello from Alabama
Welcome, Bamaguzzi, from a couple of hours up I-85. As you probably are aware, the 2015's are the prettiest FJRs ever produced. And they will flat out smoke any other bike when doing a three-second pass on the Interstate.
Hppants is referring to this shindig. Study up, and don't be late, rookie.

Re: Hello from Alabama
Tell us about the Guzzi. Tell us why the FJR is better so we can all feel smart about our choices.
Stay away from that SFO gathering in Jemison. The hosts were awful, the food was worse and the riding was terrible.

Re: Hello from Alabama
Sorry for the confusion, new guy is Greg.
I do still have the Guzzi, 2007 Breva 1100. It's a great bike that I have ridden to the Black Hills and as far south as Key West. Guzzi dealers are few and far between and an incident I had last month in Daytona made me think I should be riding something a little easier to get parts and service. Always liked the FJR and when this one popped up on Cycle Trader I just couldn't resist.

Welcome aboard! I have the rare pleasure of having a Moto Guzzi dealer only a mile from my house! Of course that's only really useful if I never go anywhere.
