Neat little farkle
Battery Tender outlet holder, can be mounted on either side. MetrickMetal on FJROwners forum makes these.
I would like to see him on here so maybe I can send some business his way.

That's cool. I like it. I'm always trying to tuck it under the tank.

Re: Neat little farkle
I ride the FJR at least once a week, so I don't need that. But...the DRZ and the CRF are staying plugged in all the time...wonder if I could find a place to mount that.

Those already exist. See here: https://www.batterystuff.com/battery-ca ... zc-01.htmlgixxerjasen wrote:I ride the FJR at least once a week, so I don't need that. But...the DRZ and the CRF are staying plugged in all the time...wonder if I could find a place to mount that.
The DRZ I had that belonged to Tucson Joe had one mounted in the right side in a back plate, by the battery. There was also one mounted one on my KLR. Lucky for me, both were already installed when I got the bikes. However, by looking at them, all it takes to install is a dremmel, or a big drill bit and a file, to shape the plastic. Then a small bit to put the screws through. LocTite the nuts onto the little bolts, and bam...Bob's your uncle.

Yeah, I ride motorcycles. I know why dogs put their heads out of the car windows.
Yeah, I fly hang gliders (3000 hrs.+). I know why the birds sing.

Re: Neat little farkle
Good grief, ya snowflakes! Here I am using a 12-volt cigarette lighter outlet with a SAE plug, and yinz are coming up with machined aluminum fittings to hold it just so. Next thing, you'll be washing your bike!
It's a good day to ride

Re: Neat little farkle
I was lucky that when I bought my bike it already had a Powerlet plug mounted right below the seat lock. These things are kind of pricey but I like it because it has a flip cover. I just picked up an adapter that goes from from the coax to SAE, also have an adapter for a cigarette lighter plug. with the cigarette plug I can use it to blow up an air mattress.
Mine is similar to this:

Re: Neat little farkle
Funny, since my posts above I've gotten rid of the DRZ, and another DRZ has come to live in my garage.

Wonder how long he'll make FJR stuff? He put his up for sale at the beginning of this month.
