Noobie from NY
Hi folks! Been aboard a ST1300 for the last 200k and picked up a purty '16 FJR1300A this year. Got some big rides planned for next year and the ol Honda hasn't been the same since I clipped a deer a few years ago. I think it was about a week after my wife said "You really need a new bike" that I was riding the FJR home from Ohio. Big thanks to RaYzerman for all the advice on getting my new bike setup and the continued tech support via PM!! Ken

Welcome Ken!!!! We are glad to have ya.
Many sport touring riders have migrated to the FJR from the Honda ST. Hope you enjoy your '16 - they sure are Purdy.

Re: Noobie from NY
Thanks, it is a nice color when its clean..unfortunately that isn't too often. Plan to head to Alabama at the end of the month for "The last ride of the year", Bike week in Florida in March, then a bunch of rallies. Never know where you end up on those. Yellowstone in June doesn't look good, but I'll keep a look out for other events.Hppants wrote:Welcome Ken!!!! We are glad to have ya.

Welcome to the Forum. When you hang out with Ray you are in good company.
Searching for roads paved with Asphalt, unless I am riding the mighty DR650 bushpig.

Welcome. Stay away from a guy we know as BigOgre. He is from Long Island. Sounds like you already know some of our favorite guys.
I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

Welcome, Ken. Daytona is always a Hoot! It's 4 hours away from me. I rarely miss it. EOM in September is a must ride. Plan for it. It'll become addictive!

Re: Noobie from NY
Ken, welcome to the asylum! I'm from the southern tier of NY originally. I'm sure you will enjoy your FJR, it is an awsome bike - simular to the ST but way more powerful and dependable, secure at speed and comfortable with minamill modifications.
