Hi,
Checking in from Cumming, GA. I ride an fjr 2014ES. The bike is new to me this past April and an upgrade from my 2007 dl650 that I'm hanging onto for now. The fjr has been a really great ride so I suppose the V will eventually go. Looking forward to opinions and comments about your bike and your rides !
fjr and you rides!

I think my Galaxy Blue is the best color, but the red is a close second....almost as fast as the first Gen bikes too!

I wasn't sure about the color but the price was right. I think the color is a good contrast color in traffic!

Welcome. I have a 09 FJR with 77,000 miles. I came from a 05 DL1000 - got tired of that after 5 years. I still love my FJR and plan on keeping it for another 77,000 miles.

Thanks! Just wondering how tires hold up. I read guys getting like 4-5k on a rear. I'm at 4k and my rear still looks great. I'm also getting 46mpg which is 2 mpg better than the first owner.

Welcome from a past Roswell, GA resident and now 9 year FJR owner up here near Seattle. Good choice on bikes for your 2014, but they sure screwed up the original 2007 FJR "red" when they painted yours.
LOL.

I'm not going to lie, I'm slightly afraid of your jacket.

Welcome to the circus! We've got plenty of monkeys, so no need to worry about that.

When I bought my '14, the color was my least favorite part of the bike. It has grown on me, but due to some ups and downs (well, really just due to the downs) I am considering re-painting an off color. The thing is, no matter what color it is, it'll still be an FJR underneath. Like they say, it is what's inside that counts.

Welcome aboard!
As far as tires are concerned, that's a subject for endless debates...just so many variables involved. Depending on your riding style, tire pressures, and tire brand, you could get anywhere from 4k to 20k miles out of a set. 40 ft and 42 rt are the generally advised tire pressures to run for maximum longevity.
