Late model bar riser questions

I have a 2005 with double risers on it now. I'm considering buying a 2014-15 FJR and wanting to know if double risers can be added to this bike as well?

If anyone wants to elaborate on anything else related to a comparison between the two I'm welcome to that also.

My 05 is a sweet ride with 65k and I've got the urge for something new. All my test rides fail to meet the standard that I'm use to, so why not upgrade?

Seeing as I have the fastest year FJR myself, I don't have the specific answer to your question. However, IIRC, the later model bikes are more adjustable so you might not need as much rise as the first gen? Anyone able to chime in on this?

I did a little more research and MCL's risers look they could be stacked.

I also think my highway pegs can be used on the G3's.

I wish they would have made an anniversary model in Galaxy Blue, then everything would be a win-win.

Are you going to trade yours in if you upgrade?

I've had mine on CL but it's still early in the season and I'm still iffy on parting with it.
Took my ad out for now but I may sacrifice it to a dealer IF i decide what I want and don't get any bites.

Really was thinking of something besides a FJR, but now it may be the best choice for me.

The second gen bikes have adjustable bars. IIRC its about 1.5" forward to back. As for risers, there is a bolt that holds the entire assembly together and I would think you'd need to put a longer bolt in it. It looked to be a real pain in the ass because the bolt comes up through the bottom and is conjoined to a smaller bolt. So I'd almost bet its easier to get longer arms! Lol.

Or maybe pull the top plate of the triple tree off...
