Heated seat option Laam

I bought the seated heat option with my Laam custom seat and I am trying to decide where to put the on/off toggle switch. I have searched the web and haven't found where to install and I do not want to cut the seat to put it where I see other seats. I have seen where some folks have used a hand grips heat troller instead. Anyone with experience with this too include pictures?? This is what a rainy weekend does to the farkling spirit.
Thanks

Put it by the glove box in the left black dash panel.

Just a thought from the heated Corbin I had once...... it was a low profile toggle switch mounted on the side of the seat itself, get a rectangular Off-Low-High dual pole switch with bezel, cut it in just behind your left cheek down on the side. You'll need (or should have got with the Laam) a resistor for the low heat circuit which you can hide under the seat on the back side..... similar to the ones that come with heated grip sets (I have a couple of spares somewhere, I'll look up the values, get them at RadioShack). OR, mount the switch somewhere else (side of the tank trim piece?), it's only wire, but put a quick disconnect connector under the seat for when you want to remove the seat. If you got a tall lever type switch, I'd ditch that for a lower profile one that can handle 10+ amps. You could also double relay it so you can use a small dual pole switch that might be more "fitting" and less ugly.

Variable controller is just pure luxury, not needed IMHO.

If I had that sort of money for such luxury....

I'd put a microswitch in the left hand control housing that runs a relay. Then, if I were super spoiled, that microswitch would run a relay that would select between high and low heat. The on and off could be switched else where or with another relay through a DPDT microswitch with an off position.

Just sayin.

Just install an adjustable thermocouple under the seat. Hook that to a relay, and the heat circuit will automagically turn on when yer butt gets chilly. ;)

That's a bad idea. Every time you fart, it'd back feed through the thermocouple and blow a fuse! LOL! :P
