Overall good article on 2014 FJR. Includes some good words on electronic suspension.

Tom, the ES in Canada is black. The root beer one is the 'A'.

Please pass the popcorn. I've not seen / read any of the articles about the ES. I'll take a look at the motorcycle show this weekend, but I think my Ohlins fortified Vader 2.0 is safe for now.

I'm more interested in hearing from someone who has actually put some miles on an ES than what the rags say...

Wow Ray must spend way to much time on the internet. I looked just before Christmas and on the Canadian Yamaha site they only had the brown one listed.... just checked now to confirm and the "new" FJR1300E is black....of course more money....

Now I just waiting to hear that the Gen2's are far better or something like that.

Don? No cat fights..... Ray is just more older therfore more wiser.

Tom, it was true the first info on yammaCA showed the brown root beer as the E...... they since added the black, and switched up as it being the E, with the root beer as the A. I had visited two dealers here and saw both...... sure enough. Why the blah black is the fancier E makes no sense to me. The flashy colour should be the premium one, yes? The Gen II's are not better..... throttle by wire trumps all.
And nobody is older than that old reprobate Don.......
