Race Tech versus Traxxion

I was at the International Motorcycle show here in Dallas today and came across a local shop that says they are Race Tech Certified. I have been thinking Traxxion was the way to go but do like the ideal of local shop doing the work versus mailing my forks.

Has anyone gone the Race Tech way?

I used racetech in my forks. The oil and the springs. Not the gold valves. In my opinion they had the spring rate way off for my weight and the bike, like they didn't know the bike weighed what it weighed. Switched to traxxion but the full bit. I am much happier. For reference if spring rate is spring rate is spring rate. Racetech was .85kg and I am pretty sure traxxion was 1.05kg. I'm 130 without gear and and am much happier now. But, I'm no wizard with spring stuff, I know I am happier and would use traxxion again. But I did all the work myself so local shop makes no difference to me.

Race tech springs and Valves vs Traxxion AK kit is apples to oranges. There is no comparison.

if you want to go lower in cost, Traxxion offeres a Valve Job as well, but for the upgrade in $ vs performance, and the ability to take the AK kit to ANY future bike you may own...

Do like I did and get the full Traxxion AK20 kit, if it is your budget.
