Is that a rackload of Mountain Dew bottles?
If so, where's the stack of Snickers bars?

Got out yesterday for a spin. No pictures, but I parked in FJRFarrier's parking spot at the Iron Pony. Unfortunately, I could not find a pink Honda t-shirt for D-Eagle. Hey - I tried!

I thought you were gonna say you washed the bike!

Part of me wants to sneak into Geek's garage, take his bike out and wash it to surprise him. The other part of me doesn't want to piss him off.

When you were in Waynesburg, you were only 45 minutes away from me. Nice pics!

Slowly working my way west as the weather gets nicer. Planning a trip to McConnelsburg area soon. Franklin County has a barn quilt mural trial with quite a few to visit. I was in Waynesboro not Waynesburg so I was further away than you thought! Will be heading out your way later in the summer though. Have tickets to see Pink in concert in Pittsburgh.

That does say Waynesboro doesn't it? So there's that.

Case of water, ONE Mt Dew and my notepad with the "while you're here, could you look at..." list...
No Snickers bars, because it's almost bikini season up here...

Got 40-50 miles in after dinner. Tried out my new jacket and airbag vest. Well, not tried it out, I mean, tried it out, but didn’t try it out.
Felt great on the bike. Probably the most comfortable I’ve been on my bike. Played a little. It was fun.
This warmed my heart to read. You've had your share of "not fun" - good to see you turn the corner....

I need to mow for the 2nd time this year.
I mowed for the first time this year today. Bought a new John Deere last November, very comfortable.

Replaced my air filter which was the last thing on my list to do to get the bike ready for a full season of miles and smiles. Prior to the FJR I had 2 Wings. Changing the air filter on those GW’s was a major PIA and took hours to complete. It was so nice to see that this was a simple job.

I agree the GL1800 air filter is a fairly big job but the FJR is far from trivial.

Not sure about the AE but on my 2016A it was quick and easy. With a YouTube video it took about 45 minutes. Next time 30 or so as I know how simple it is. Pull off the left panel, off with 2 black covers, replace filter and back together. A one beer job so a head scratcher on the comments. Guess the AE is different.

I pulled the gas tank and rechecked connections, spark plug wires, TB ports, etc. I've been out a few times locally since completing the "winter wrenching" and noticed a dip in fuel mileage. Normally, I can plan on an average of 38mpg when riding here - mpg is less if it's a day of chasing Wheaton or JWilly (30-35mpg), but the average I'm seeing right now is odd at 33mpg (calculated, not dash read out). This is flat roads cruising at rational velocity (60mph-ish on 2 laners, 80-ish on the slab).
Nothing looked or felt out of place.
I'm going to dump a bottle of injector cleaner in on the next refill.

I find where I live, I get poorer mileage at the shoulder seasons. Combination of cooler temperatures (FJR seems to like hotter weather) and winter blend gasoline has a little lower energy content.

Good point - I did check both the rear and front while off the ground - no discernable drag noted.
This could be a contributing factor - I am earlier in the season that normal; cooler temps - I'm not sure when the transition the fuel blend for summer.
