Ledrider sent me o-rings unsolicited. No complaints, other than the new o rings didn't seal any better than the old ones.

Um, and you didn't ride 600 miles in one day? Why not? Not the right bike for that kind of ride?

That would be funny. Buy the bike on Monday, bring it back Tuesday for the 600 mile service.

I remember reading of someone doing a fly and buy of a new bike and they booked the first service for two days after they picked it up. They spent a day or two riding around the area, then brought it in the following day for the service and then rode it home. Can be done.

Yes, the bags are free. They told me the bags are made by a third party vendor. The vendor is behind is why they are selling the bikes without bags. Bags to be delivered later. I had them give me an IOU for the bags in writing. The finance person was trying to tell me they were an optional accessory. Sales confirmed they are included in a deal for an FJR.

The free part is the first service...maybe. The manager told me if ten day passed or when I needed the first service if the bags were not there I get the service free. However, the manager was not there the day I picked the bike up. So I don't have that in writing.

I know Lee eventually got his bags, so hopefully I will not have to wait too long. I think they have been sitting on this bike awhile. It was special ordered but took so long to be delivered the buyer backed out. I think they were happy to get it sold.

Not sure how it works for the bags. Does Yamaha only put you in the que for bags after the purchase? No idea.

Not too worried. I can throw a couple of dry bags on the back if a trip comes up while I am waiting.

They have been a good dealer so far. I gave them a deposit and they waited a month for me to get a title out of the State of Florida. Probably not any other buyers, but still they never pressured me.

Did all the suspension pivot points. Cut the center stand bolts to get the relay arm off. Image

Oooooh, whole swingarm off..... methinks you could have left the centerstand on in that case.

Nope. Still had to come off to get the relay arm to frame bolt out.

I rode today, with my wife, daughter, her boyfriend, and her best friend. Beautiful, warm day (80° high), with a visit to a local German bakery. A wonderful day!

I have my wolfman expedition bag, well plus a few holes in it when it fell off the bike on my way home from picking it up, but still want the side cases for that color matched symmetry.

When I removed my center stand and relay arm last year, I did not cut any bolts or remove the swing arm. It all came apart fairly well. I did leave the mufflers on, and I had to pry on exhaust but not too much and it all came apart. JSNS.
