Yep. The trouble I am having is tightening it normally allows a leak (spit tested) so I tightened more only to cause trouble removing the valve at the next tire change. I am going back to rubber stems.N4HHE wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 12:16 pmUh, you know too tight crushes the vinyl gasket and causes it to split and leak?fontanaman wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 10:00 pm I will be getting one of these tools. I have had some problems with the aluminum valve stems. The valve stem tends to leak unless tightened to the point where the valve stem seal sticks or is deformed at the next tire change. I don't trust the aluminum stems anymore.
Dan, what town was this mill remnant in?danh600 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 9:49 pm Rode 229 miles into South Carolina.
Scenic but not windy roads.
Had my first BBQ SC hash. Looks bad but tastes awesome.
We rode with a friend of my wife's. She has been riding since the 70s. Small woman riding a big Indian Roadmaster with ease. She told us tales of dealerships not even willing to sell her parts unless she had a dude with her back in the day. Times have changed!
Stopped to admire these towers. The only thing left from an old cotton mill.
It was a good ride.
Thank you! This stretch along the Kettle River road is very scenic. Been a favorite for too many years. Meaning I am old.
