New Bridgestone T32 GT. Decided to try balance beads.
A short 90 km jaunt to scrub in the tires and see how the beads work. No drama...

With freshly adjusted valves and a Helibar Bridge installed last week I took the bike out for a shakedown ride today. Bike ran very well and I really like the Helibar Bridge, no ache in my neck. After the shake down ride I changed the oil

I was south of Spokane in the wheatfields where the only critter that hit me today was a small bird on my left wrist.

Nice clouds the wheat is doing well. The price of fertilizer is up so the farmers are trying to optimize the economic equation of perhaps reducing fertilizer thus reduced yield based on the expected but unknown prices. That must be one heck of a spreadsheet.

A closer shot.

The bridge near Rosalia Washington.

Add the FJR.

Had some time this morning. So I was thinking the clutch lever and front brake lever are feeling a little stiff. Why not clean and lube. So yeah. Also did the rear brake lever too.

Should do the shift linkage and sidestand while you're at it...

Thanks Pants. I should have added the FJR to this shot.

I sure like riding out here. It is lonesome. Yesterday I was stopped to check my tire pressure (doing some testing) and a fellow stopped to see if I was ok.

There this thing called the 10% rule for motorcycle tires. If warm tire has a 10% higher pressure vs a cold tire, then the tire is properly inflated. Conversely tires are over inflated then the warm tire pressure will be less than 10% higher inflation. Underinflated tires will exceed the the 10% goal.

Fontanaman, those sure are Purdy scenes. My brother lives in Pullman and loves the topography.

Fontanaman,

Most TPMS systems will read out tire pressures and tire temperatures constantly, on the handlebar display. You can set the alarm limits for pressure and temperature. The valve cap versions are easy to install, and work very well.

Get a display that is easy to read in sunlight, and feed it with a USB cord.

My US$.02 worth . . .

Loaded it for a two day trip.
For some reason we are missing the heat wave for the next couple of days. We just have to take advantage of this weather window.
Headed to Boone NC for an overnighter trip.

My old FJR...... plugged the rear tire for the second time on this trip. Had a leaky fork seal on it, I got that fixed with a SealMate and it's been good for 5 days.

Thanks for the reminder. I just ran out to the garage and hopped on the FJR so I could make vroom vroom noises and come back inside.

I appreciate all who do...but no, I don't ride to work. It's unsafe with just me on the road...throw in the other knuckleheads and Louanne's stress level would be high. (AND, I'd be pissed off by the time I got to work, so no.)

Since I've been working from home the past 2 years...no riding to work anymore for me. But I did look at it this morning.

Yesterday, I rode the FJR to the Iron Pony to get a new pair of gloves. I took FJRFarrier's parking spot.
