Jim - what an wonderful ride report. I really enjoy looking at photos from that area, perhaps largely because I've never been there. I hope to remedy that particular issue sooner rather than later.
A goodtime to be riding in the Northwest is September and early October. Fire season is usually winding down and all the mountain passes are open.
May and June are nice too but some mountain passes maybe closed, however, it is greener and rivers are full with spring snow melt. Fire season starts in July and it can be very hot east of the Cascade Mountains in July and August. I prefer the spring season as I won't ride in fire smoke.
I retired as soon as possible. I didn't care for my job toward the end. I should have gone sooner.
We only have so many good years remaining and we can't get them back.
If we are lucky the sixties are the go go years, seventies are the so so years and your eighties are the no no years.

Sorry, I did not account for the "wheatonFJR" filter reviewing my post.
This image would have more completed captured the sentiment of my response to Sir Pants...

I will not respond to your mild insult and just respond that your original post was incorrect and incomplete.
And that left hand mitten is lame.
So you rode the thumb. Come down to SC and ride 276, 215/178, 28 again. It would be fun. It’s cold though…40s at night. 70s during the day….burrrr!

I can not tell which is left and which is right. Are the maps on the palm side or back side?

Fontanaman sucks me in again! One day I'll spend a few days with him and make him take me on all his rides, that'll learn him.

Haven't been able to post pictures since the photo bucket fiasco. Maybe I'll get back to it one of these days.

FastPappy,
My ISP gives me server space on their hardware, free, as part of my Internet service.
I host all of my own pix and stuff.
You upload files/pix by to their servers by File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
FileZilla for FTP makes that deal as easy as using File Manager.
My ISP tech support walked me through the set-up, and it just goes on smoothly ever since.
Note: Lots of good stuff (manuals, resources, tech, et c.) is only available from businesses by FTP.
FTP is the 80% of the Internet that most people never see.
I'd call your ISP and see if they have some free space available for your stuff.
My links look like this:

Actually did something to two different FJRs today.
I rode my FJR to work and back.
I changed the oil and filter in Pop's FJR this evening. I am too ashamed to admit how much past due that oil change was.
He needs that fresh oil because Saturday he and I will be intercepting Tyler somewhere around Natchez, MS.

This is the longest I’ve been without riding since before Covid started. Living vicariously. Good weather out there.

425 miles today. Met the Redfishes early this morning and we spent the day riding to and around Natchez, MS. We found Ms Tyler this afternoon on her way to staying at Chez Redfish.
Good ride today.

Filled with gasoline.

Followed a renowned FJR guide through North Georgia. 350 miles of beautiful temps, bright sunshine, twisty roads, rural scenery, in mostly lightly trafficked roads. We were fortunate in most aspects of this day. I would record 10/10 on my rideometer for the day. Joe, you missed out.

Today I rode my FJR to work.
BUT!!! Two days ago I rode my FJR to meet my friend Hppants. Pop followed me. Joey led us to some lovely roads on a lovely day. We ate a lovely lunch in a lovely location. Then we rode North and met the Lovely Miss Tyler.
So I guess this isn't in the correct thread. It's not really about What I Did To My FJR. It's about what my FJR did FOR me. Y'all know what I mean.
Pop and Hppants discussing how slow I am these days, overlooking the Mississippi River from Natchez Under the Hill.
The FJRs and Miss Tyler on the Spyder at Emerald Mound:
We had a decent little supper for Tyler. My sister cooked a crawfish etouffee and I burned some dead cow over a fire.
