Count them up here and I would say there's a dozen FJR's within 100 miles of me... I'll even go two dozen or more, various years, but look at the population concentration around here... millions. Still not hundreds of FJR's I don't think. I'd guess city people less inclined to have one as they are a bike to get out on the open roads and tour or travel.

Just to update at least Canadian numbers, we can use the recent recall info for the brake light switches.... this will affect every bike sold in the models listed.
4524 bikes total over 8 model years, say ~500/year of 8 different Yamaha models, of course we can only guess how many of each model affected. Might help put some perspective on how many FJR's might have been sold here each year since 2013. It's still a guess.....

Interesting article. Not because the recalls are news anymore. This article states the number of units effected.

The recall affects FJR1300’s produced between December 9, 2015, and February 2, 2020. This puts the affected unit total to 2,285.

So, a little over four year's production = 2,285 FJRs. Seems like ... not very much.

I'd expect 2,285 to be the daily Toyota Camry production.

That number seems plausible to me... going back to our other thread about how many were made.... however, whether a final number gets revised for that recall will not be seen for a while longer.....
The brake switch recall involves several models of Yamahas from 2013 to 2020, and that number is ~18,000.... how many were FJR's?
Not saying we'll ever know the right number, but you get the idea.......
