Thanks, Semper Fi Guy. Good idea to have tech library threads and separate threads for the Free Range Conversations that go on around here.

Additional topic - Tech Library. We are discussion options for creating and hosting a tech library; a place to capture and share tech related topics. This new area / subforum will be a no B.S. zone; Each tech article will have an associated discussion thread where topic related questions can be asked and answered; as a means to make that a resource for the community, it will be moderated and B.S. off topic posts will be removed.
Maybe a special moderator empowered to deal with each of these threads so as not to become Wayne's full time job with you 🐐 Rapers!

Although we enjoy posting and reading a lot of silly stuff, most of that stuff does not need to e saved indefinitely. The tech area is a good idea. Have you looked into an expiration date on the other stuff? That would reduce the amount of storage required.
My wife asked me why I speak so softly around the house. I said that I was worried that someone was listening. She laughed, I laughed, Alexa laughed.

For now, like we do at tech days or events where somebody's supplying the food, there's a cookie jar and while we might have eaten $10 worth of food, we all toss in a 20 and don't want any change. That might be a suggestion if there is an immediate cost to change hosts.... I'm good with that, and we'll talk subscriptions later. I don't want to talk about Wheatie..... in public anyway.
Wait! What?! I didn't see any "cookie jar" at my tech days. The screwdriver was just a diversion wasn't it? You just wanted the cookie jar! :nhlfight:

So...does no bullshit mean none of the typical shenanigans, or does it include posts by those suffering from Dunning-Kruger effects too?

There's just too much what the f@$k in this thread to know where to begin...

I was simply poking the bear because there are times when it's appropriate. While there is always the desire for a completely 100% open system, the admins here learned early on that's not a reality as much as they wanted it to be. Finding the balance is the tricky part.

I'd say it's not so tricky for Wayne. Tolerating Wheatie, well that's another story.... :D

There is a balance; delicate at times, but manageable. It's pretty simply thought - leave the sand from the other sandbox in the other sandbox. Bring it here and I'll google how to delete that shit...

Rule #1 - The boss is always right.
Rule #2 - When the boss is wrong, refer to Rule #1

The thing that makes this place different is we all seem to be following the Golden Rule. It's all about respect. The thing that makes this place enjoyable is, there are few rules, and funny how that works better and is self-policing for the most part. Control freaks will lose every time, eventually.
