This morning took a nice ramblin 2 1/2 hour ride with my son David...he on his 2004 FJR...went through rural north Greenville County, up through Tryon and Saluda...nice cloudy sprinkle day with low 70s in Saluda and upper 80s near home base. Had a cup of coffee and a biscuit and talked...hadn't ridden with him in awhile as he is a busy young man. He wanted to show me the mint condition 90s station wagon he bought. They don't have kids yet...but maybe in a few years after some ducks take their place in the row.

93 Caprice with 98,000 miles on it. The thing, engine compartment, exterior, interior looks practically show room. Un fricken believable.

Sorry about your fricken arm bone, man. I will ride many painful miles today in your honor.

Adrenalin and shock are awsome... lol.
I once finished the last four hours of a shift with a leg broken in two places.... A result of a "use of force"

"Why am I so thirsty...?"
"Geez... I'm I little nauseous....?
"My knee is a little sore"

On the drive home stopped in at the ER...
Didn't go back to work for five months Lol.

Rode the long way around to the Intervale Farm Pancake House to meet up with a bunch of NERDS for breakfast. Between medical catastrophes and international travel the NERDS haven't done much riding together this year. Intervale Farm is primarily a Maple Sap farm making really good syrup, they have huge evaporating tables where they boil down and bottle sap typically in Feb to Mar.

When the ground is covered in snow, this is the horse drawn sap drum they used to use to transport the sap back to the evaporator.

And, if you aren't putting their syrup on your breakfast or lunch, you are probably using this from a nearby town:

After a long delicious breakfast we left for an even longer way around going home that eventually meandered over the the coast where we all parted. It's great to be able to get out and put on some miles 'n smiles.

Completed fuzeblock install. Topped off the tank for the week and started to get ready to wash the bike. No soap. Next weekend.

Our family truckster had the wood trim, but this one does not. Big honking V8...no hint of valve/tapping sounds.

Edit: rode 340 miles on awesome mountain roads today. Got my groove back on!

I was in the same area a July 18th, (3 weeks ago)… Temp went as low as -6c.
Poured rain off and on as well.... Then there was the hail..!!!

You sir are a bad ass!

Pulled something in my forearm. Pinky finger on my right hand will grip but will not flex up.
Seems minor after your story.

Rode my normal Sunday morning ride. It was hot and sand in the few good curves.
But felt good to be on the bike.

Riding north Carolina last week spoiled me. It was just brutally hot this weekend in Florida.

A few more weeks and off to Arkansas!

Short ride today, maybe about 60 miles. Ordered a new Gen 3 rear shock as mine is feeling kind of tired with about 75k on it. Getting all my stuff together to service relay arm soon and figured that's the time to swap shocks.

It’s one hand bone. I’m a far cry from a badass. Hope your forearm gets better. That sounds like a nice ride.
