Interim report:
Well my first candidate "6 mm" push rivets got here, and they were not right. Very difficult to install, even with the center pin completely removed. There was no way you could install the center pin, with the rivet in place in the bike. I used a drill index to "size" these rivets, and it turns out that they fit nicely in a 6.5 mm hole, but that is not what is on the bike. I could use a tapered reamer to slightly enlarge the holes in the FJR Tupperware, of course, but I'd rather find a better push rivet for the FJR. I can't recommend the first set, here.
I'm going to try again, with a different manufacturer this time; maybe the next outfit will know how to make real 6 mm rivets.
